God’s Total Answer to Man’s Total Need

With the continual collapse and moral bankruptcy of economic Marxism around the world, there is a growing rise of cultural Marxism throughout Europe and America. This idea of class and identity politics and the most recent campus craze, intersectionality, has and is infiltrating culture and even aspects of the evangelical church. Don’t be deceived. Look it up. Marxism is alive and well on planet earth. One doesn’t have to listen long to realize that the proponents of class warfare believe they have found the total answer to man’s total need.

Humankind needs nothing so much as he needs something to bring life together into total meaning and total purpose. Life for the postmodern human in the East and the West longs for something to give total meaning to an otherwise fragmented life. We are all desiring an absolute in a broken up, relativistic world. We know everything about life, except how to live it.

The Kingdom of God is God’s total answer to man’s total need. Jesus came proclaiming a new kingdom, a new way of living, an answer to life’s most difficult questions. H.G. Wells, the famous writer and historian, who when fumbling through history in search for the relevant came across the kingdom of God and was shocked. He wrote, “Why here is the most radical proposal ever presented to the mind of man, the proposal to replace the present world order with God’s order, the kingdom of God.”

There is no doubt that our world is sick with all types of ism’s, (racism, sexism, classism, etc.), and the reason is as old as the earth itself—sin and rebellion against God. Since the sickness is radical, the remedy must be vitally radical. Jesus came, “preaching the gospel of the kingdom.” (Matt. 4:23, NKJV). Jesus made the kingdom of God His plan for the universe. The kingdom of God is mentioned over one hundred times in the Gospel accounts and over one hundred seventy times in the New Testament. We are commanded to, “seek first the kingdom of God,” (Matt. 6:33, NKJV), and pray, “Thy kingdom come,” (Matt. 6:10, NKJV).

Everything has broken down or is breaking down—totalitarianism, fascism, Nazism, communism has all broken down. Fascism made the state supreme; Nazism made race supreme; communism made the proletariat supreme. All were half-gods and thus, no gods. But Jesus came with a totalitarianism that meets every need, the kingdom of God.

Discover the kingdom, surrender to the kingdom, make your life loyalty and purpose the kingdom of God, then in everything you will be relevant. For the kingdom of God is always relevant—the ultimate and total answer to all of man’s every need.

Seeking first the kingdom,

Steve
