A Kingdom of God Revolution, Part 4

“And Jesus went about all Galilee…preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. Then His fame went throughout all Syria…Great multitudes followed Him—from Galilee and from Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea and beyond the Jordan.” (Matthew 4:23-25, NKJV). If the Gospel doesn’t work in the marketplace, it doesn’t work. Jesus invaded every aspect of society with the Kingdom of God. He brought it with Him into the villages, the shops and the marketplace of lepers, soldiers, fishermen and tax collectors. Wherever Jesus walked, he brought the Kingdom of God with Him.

Last week, one of our martial arts black belts discovered that a young man was stealing from him at the gym. He caught him red-handed. Instead of ridiculing him, he invited him to a meeting where he shared Jesus and invited him to church. This young man brought the Kingdom with him.

Last week, one of our Road members spoke at the University of Colorado, at the Colorado Springs campus and challenged the students to study more critically the unscientific claims of Charles Darwin. He then presented a Kingdom view of creation. This man brought the Kingdom with him.

A good friend of mine, an aerospace engineer who regularly meets with four-star generals, has been regularly, for years, taking his day off to enter into the juvenile prison in our city to lead worship, share Christ and counsel incarcerated youth. He has seen hundreds of these young men give their lives to Christ. This man is bringing the Kingdom with him.

Wherever we go, whatever our vocation, we can bring the Kingdom of God with us. If enough people start doing this, we just might have a Kingdom Revolution!

A Kingdom Revolutionary,

Steve
