Two weeks ago, I was at a church in Castlerock, Colorado, for a gathering of a couple hundred pastors and intercessors. As I was walking and praying in the back of the sanctuary, God spoke in an almost audible voice, “The Lion of Judah cometh. Be prepared!” It was so obviously God, that I dropped down to my knees and worshipped.

God and Satan are Both on the Move

The phrase, “The Lion of Judah cometh,” reminded me of that scene in C.S. Lewis’ book, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe:

“They say Aslan is on the move-perhaps has already landed.” And now a very curious thing happened…the moment the Beaver had spoken these words, everyone felt quite different. Perhaps it has sometimes happened to you in a dream…either a terrifying one, which turns the whole dream into a nightmare, or else a lovely meaning, too lovely to put into words, which makes the dream so beautiful that you remember it all your life and are always wishing you could get into that dream again. It was like that now.

The Lion of Judah is on the move! But Satan is on the move also. Satan is commanding our attention with a lawlessness across our cities, on a scale we have not seen in our lifetime. There have been 500 cities that have had demonstrations over the past four months. Most of them peaceful, but a growing number, violent.

But God is on the move! The harvest is ripe! At The Road, the church I pastor, we are seeing people come to know Christ at every gathering and worship service! Almost all have been men and women in their 20’s. Our youth are ripe for the harvest. I’m hearing this from all of my pastor friends. God is on the move!

Be Prepared

God said to me, “Be prepared!” This is not a time for “business as usual.” God is awakening His Church, His true Church, to action. I believe we are fighting a demonic battle, involving high level principalities and powers, intent on the destruction of our nation, the Church, and all of the freedoms you and I have enjoyed.

Now is the time for high-level, strategic prayer!

In 2 Chronicles 7:14, we are given the most insightful Scripture in all of the Bible for how to wage war in the fourth dimension, the heavenly realm: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” Only the Church can obey this command. This is a clarion trumpet call to the people of God!

The Apostle Paul said it best, “We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12). We are waging a battle in prayer against spiritual forces that only the people of God can wage. This is a call that every Christ follower can obey. It is a call to violent prayer (read my last blog), in which we humble ourselves, pray, seek God’s face, and repent. Like Moses, David, Daniel, and the Prophets throughout the Old Testament, we must confess our own sins and the sins of our nation.

In Proverbs 6:16-19, God shares His hatred of certain sins:

There are six things the Lord hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
haughty eyes,
(arrogance and pride)
a lying tongue,
(deception)
hands that shed innocent blood,
(abortion)
a heart that devises wicked schemes,
(leaders in high places with evil intentions)
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
(injustice in any form)
a false witness who pours out lies,
(knowingly testifying of untruth to deceive others)
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.
(violence and bloodshed)

It is startling to any of us who love our nation, to realize that America is guilty of everything on this list. This list gives us a starting point for how to pray. Let me challenge you to make a War Room in your home and cry out to God for mercy daily. Cry out for forgiveness for our nation’s sins. Cry out to God for grace. If we don’t, the Judgment of God is upon us and He will give us want we want. (Read Romans 1:18-32).

At The Road, we have been calling for concentrated, focused prayer. We have started a Wednesday Night Prayer Gathering; we have had 5 a.m. Prayer Gatherings; certain groups of people have gathered for impromptu prayer meetings, in which we have prayed for 4-6 hours at a time. And God is answering those prayers. It seems like every time we gather and pray, God reveals something in the news that was hidden. Satan is on the move, but God is also on the move.

If you live in Colorado Springs, join us every Wednesday night for our Strategic Prayer Gathering at 6 p.m., and let us seek God together, repent, and believe God for a great outpouring of His Holy Spirit upon our city!

God is on the move!
