2025: The Year of Breakthrough Courage
Americans are more fearful, anxious, and depressed than any other time in the history of our nation. Consider a few facts:
- People are more fearful today. Time Magazine, Vogue, and U.S. News and World Report have found that more people are anxious and fearful than we’ve been since the second world war.
- People are looking for answers in all the wrong places. The major pharmaceutical companies own the narrative on sickness. Big Pharma controls the TV networks and promotes their products in commercials more than any other category in TV advertising. People are buying it and sicker than ever before. Have you listened to the side effects of these drugs?
- The rapid increase in depression is at an all-time high. The National Institute of Health (NIH) has found that over 21 million Americans struggle with some form of depression, with youth between the ages of 18 to 25 years old being the most frequent victims.
- People of all ages are suffering from panic, agoraphobia, social and separation anxiety disorders. The mental health and counseling systems are overloaded.
- We are seeing unprecedented heart attacks, dementia, myocarditis, and deaths due to our unhealthy diets, stress, fear, and a deluge of vaccines, even among our children.
- Suicide in all age groups has exponentially increased over the past few years. Time Magazine records that suicide is the highest it’s been since World War II.
Breakthrough Courage
The only way to not becoming a statistic like the ones above, is developing new courage and healthy habits in your life. At the church I pastor, our theme for 2025 is “Breakthrough Courage.” I believe God wants El Paso County (the county I live in) to be the healthiest county in Colorado. I’m convinced that God wants The Road Church members to be the most physically, mentally, and emotionally healthy church in our state!
This is only possible through a commitment to being healthy in every area of our lives. It takes courage to build new habits and a new lifestyle. Jesus said this when being quizzed about the greatest commandment in the Bible,
“Then one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, perceiving that He had answered them well, asked Him, “Which is the first commandment of all?”
Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:28-31)
So, how do we practically live out the Great Commandment? I have developed a tool last year that has been quite successful for living out the truths found in this commandment. It’s called WholeHARD45 and it’s a challenge to live out of new habits for 45 days. Since it takes about 21 days to develop new habits, I made it 45 days in order to double your chances!
WholeHARD45 Challenge
Let me just say that the WholeHARD45 is not easy. If you are one who is prone to quit easily when difficulties come, then either this challenge is not for you (because you’ll easily quit) or it IS FOR YOU, because you’re going to quit quitting in 2025. Your choice.
Quit quitting in 2025. How about that? What if you quit quitting and decided to change your life with God’s plan for the new year? Why not make this the year of becoming healthy physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually?
If you’re interested in the practical steps to daily living out the commands of Jesus in His Great Commandment; if you’re interested in transforming your life this year, dive into WholeHARD45.
